To Whom it may concern, We have been residents in the Bridgetower West community since March of 2017. We love this community and the rural nature of the area. We moved here from a community in California with a mixed SFD and MFD plan. It was high- density and problematic. Traffic was abysmal and trash was everywhere. We were impressed with how clean this state is compared to CA. Now we have noticed a trend towards littering along the roadsides. There has also been an increase in traffic in the area, and wait times at the stop lights is frustrating. McMillan Road is a rural road and cannot be widened due to power lines and irrigation canals, which means that traffic will back up well down the road making it very difficult for us to get onto the road in a timely manner. Now, with this new multi-family dwelling proposal being considered, the downsides will only be increased! Currently, our development and others like it are SFDs. This new development is totally out of character for this location, it would be better suited to the area south of Franklin on Ten Mile. We would not be opposed to condos, but we are adamantly opposed to apartments. Apartments tend to appeal to those who are transient and are not invested in the care of the community because of the temporary nature of their residence. We are not opposed to additional new housing, but it needs to be in keeping with the type of dwellings currently in our area, and bearing in mind the density and traffic concerns.
