Vacation of a portion of the ACHD drainage pond for WaItman Court
Subdivision to exchange right of way for SW Sth Ave, by Buffalo Hump LLC.
Staff has reviewed this submittal and offers the following comments:
APPLICA TION SUMMARY
The Applicant, Buffalo Hump LLC, has requested the City's consent to vacate an unused portion of a
platted drainage pond located on the northwest comer of the intersection of SW Sth Avenue and W.
Corporate Drive, The applicant will in return dedicate a portion of land to ACHD to construct SW Sth
Avenue through to W, Corporate Drive through the Waltman Court Subdivision,
The total site area proposed for vacation is 11,329.79 square feet. The applicant plans to develop the area
as an overflow parking area for his business across West Corporate Drive in the Waltman Court
Subdivision.
The Unified Development Code ll-SA -], requires the City Council to be the decision making body on
vacations applied for in the City of Meridian. City Council's consent to vacate the right-of-way must be
obtained by the applicant prior to submitting an application to ACHD.

COMMENTS
I, The City of Meridian Public Works Department has no concerns on the proposed vacation.
2, Central District Health Department, Environmental Health Division, has no objections to this
proposal,
Nampa and Meridian Irrigation District has no comment on the vacation of the portion of the
ACHD drainage pond, but they may have a pressure irrigation main line within this area. This
easement and line must be protected. Staff is not concerned with the Nampa and Meridian
Irrigation District's typical comment. Staff reviewed the land survey (see Exhibit A-I) and is
satisfied that there is not a pressure irrigation main in the area to be vacated.

A parcel located in the SW '/i of the NE V. of Section 13, Township 3 North, Range 1 West,
Boise Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, and more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at a 5/8 inch diameter iron pin marking the southeast corner of said SW V. of the
NE v.. , from which a 5/8 Inch diameter iron pin marking the southwest corner of said SW % of
the NE V. bears N 89 "52'22" W a distance of 1321,57 feet;
Thence N 0 °13'29" E along the easterly boundary of said SW V. of the NE % a distance of
851,98 feel 10 a 5/8 inch diameter iron pin marking the northeast corner of Waltman Court
Subdivision as shown in Book 92 of Plats on Page 11029, records of Ada County, Idaho;
Thence S 79"55'00" W along the northerly boundary of said Waltman Court Subdivision a
