Hello,
We are Meridian residents and would like to express our opposition to this housing project.
The city’s infrastructure and the cross streets adjacent are not prepared for this highly populated
complex.
As it is, the roads are backed up and traffic is becoming heavier by the day. It’s not only affecting the
quality of life but will also increase the number of accidents.
What we REALLY need, is a crosswalk on Gondola/Black Cat so our children (and adults) can safely get to
school.
We have a child at Pleasant View and have witnessed very close calls involving SMALL CHILDREN and
speeding vehicles on Black Cat.
This is UNACCEPTABLE and totally AVOIDABLE!
Is the City of Meridian willing to take the responsibility for a child getting hurt?
This is not a question of “IF” but “WHEN”.
It’s only a matter of time when someone’s child (perhaps your family member?) gets injured!
Our Beautiful City of Meridian should have their residents’ interest in mind and do everything to
IMPROVE our city, not try to make things even worse by allowing this yet another concentrated housing
project!
NO to Apartments on McMillan Rd next to Walmart!
YES to a crosswalk on Black Cat to PROTECT our children!
The Pinto Family
