Good morning! We want to keep our mornings good ones and not stressed with apartment traffic soaring
down our residential streets and crowding Ten Mile to the Freeway, McMillan, Black Cat, Chinden and all
the way to Eagle! There already is construction of apartments next to Costco creating traffic jams and
the city of Meridian does not need any more without solving the numerous concerns at this point in time:
1. More intersection accidents at Ten Mile and McMillan and other intersections all along these
boulevards.
2. No ease now to exit San Vito to travel on to McMillan.
3. Residential traffic would be a nightmare for students and parents walking their children to school at
Bridgetower West. All this traffic will filter right by the Elementary school on Gondola to Black Cat and
other exiting neighborhoods.
4. The shortage of police officers, EMT availability to answer emergencies on a timely manner including
Fire Departments all which are understaffed is really concerning.
5. Shortage of teachers! Our schools are to capacity!
6. The drought plays a significant role in development within Meridian! We are already going to see the
canal water become UNAVAILABLE earlier this year!
7. The power company is already seriously suggesting cutting back on usage. Our power is hydro power
coming from the Snake River that we all know IS IN TROUBLE due to the drought. Lakes and reservoirs
are LOW.
8. We all want to enjoy convenience at our local restaurants, stores and shops without long lines,
unavailability for appointments.
There are many, many more problems that will arise if this apartment complex is developed. Please listen
to your community!
