To whom it may concern:
I am a considered Meridian homeowner in the BT West Subdivision. I, 100% disapprove of this new proposed project
that the Alpha Development Group wishes to build on this site.
As a resident of Meridian for over 27 years, a representative of Meridian as “Mrs. Meridian 2010 & 2011 and Mrs. Idaho
2012, I’ve seen the tremendous growth our city has now become. From a small farm town community to a richly
blessed and family community. It has grown much too fast, especially over the last 10 years in this Northwest section of
Meridian. The traffic, the speed and the roads have not been ones to keep up with such growth.
From the quiet, peaceful subdivisions I’ve resided in over the last 27 years (Crystal Springs, Tumble Creek, Kelly Creek
and now BT WEST), I’ve not experienced such of these problems till we built our new home in BT WEST 4 years ago. The
traffic on McMillan has built up to a couple cars at a time..to now a steady stream of speeding cars and noise coming
from west of 10mile and streaming towards the Walmart intersection from the large neighborhood west of Black Cat.
Even more, the large communities currently being built on the corners of Black Cat and Mcmillan will create even more
of a traffic problem as vehicles proceed down McMillan towards the 10 mile access to Walmart, Costco, restaurants and
the interstate.
There is just NO more room to continue building large apartment communities in this small area! This will create a huge
problem for current residents and future residents of the neighborhoods, already being built.
PLEASE knock down this proposal! The BIG $ that this builder/developer wishes to cash in, on this will be detrimental to
our Idaho way of life in this area. When will Meridian have enough of property tax payers to put a pause on such
permits?
Thank you for listening and consideration of many of our concerns.
Cordially,
Beverly Hartle
(Former Mrs. Meridian and Mrs. Idaho America 2012)
