Water Tower Ln., Ste 202 Meridian, ID 83642 Ae: ANNEXATION & ZONING OF A PARCEL OF LAND FOR THE MERIDIAN SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE NEW MERIDIAN MIDDLE SCHOOL LCA NO, 01033.01 4.d The Joint School District No, 2 is requesting annexation of the subject property and to have it zoned R4 in order to construct a new middle school. The property is located on the east side of linder Ad., between McMillan and Ustick (See attached maps and legal description); And directly abutts the recently annexed Baldwin Subdivision to the North, The 40 acre parcel is located in an area of growth, is near City sewer and water and has good vehicular access making it a perfect location for a middle school. The project will consist of a school which will provide a quality education to the students of the community and will also incorporate two (2) soccer fields, 3 (three) softball fields, baseball field, running track, football field, 6 tennis courts and 5 outdoor basketball courts for after school hours use by the community. The new middle school is necessary to accommodate the increasing enrollment within the School District. Please note the following excerpts from the City of Meridian Comprehensive Plan as they pertain to the School District's desire to have the parcel annexed and zoned R4.
