Dear Mayor Simison, and Members of the Meridian City Council,
I am writing to you at this time, to respectfully request that you please leave all district
lines and current assigned seats, as is. Please do not make any additional changes. As a
resident of the newly created District 1, I am perfectly fine with the current status. Any
changes, in my opinion, would demonstrate a clear desire to act for political gain. Any
action changing the currently approved status would send a message to the citizens that
your positions on the Council are a higher priority than the services provided by the
city.
Residents really don't care about borders and seats. The residents want safe
neighborhoods, paved streets, good schools and parks. The residents want the lights to
come on, when they flip the switch, and they want the water to run, when the faucet is
turned on. Please stop wasting time and staff resources on this matter and turn your
attention to the real needs of running a city.
Thank you so much, for your time an consideration.

Best regards,
Phil Reynolds
