Dear Mayor and City Council:
I have read that a new districting map has been created by an independent committee whose goal is to give Meridian
citizens district based representation; the ordinance instructed the committee to give no weight to where the current CC
members lived.
These articles that I have read discuss that the Mayor and City Council is attempting to change seat #'s between districts
1 and 2 so that current CC members can run again. I find this to be unethical. It is showing favoritism towards current
council members and should not be enacted upon.
As a resident of district 21 in Meridian, I request that the map be adopted as is and the district #'s not be changed.
Thank you,
Christine Waldick
