Hi Paige,
I apologize for jumping in at the tail end of the discussion, but want to confirm that ACHD has "accepted" this traffic
study. I use the word "accepted" because that is the term used by the City of Meridian to allow us to submit for a
conditional use permit on the project. The study doesn't have to be approved, just accepted. Will you please confirm
that is the case here?

I just wanted to check on this project again, the one located at McMillan Road and Vicenza Way. I don't remember
seeing if there was a review fee for this study, is that correct? Was there no review fee because it was a smaller study
and not a full TIS?

The City of Meridian will transmit the development application to us after it is submitted to them and we will provide
a staff report in response with our requirements. I review the traffic impact studies, but I don't always write the staff
reports. My supervisor Mindy assigns the development applications when they are received.

A westbound right -turn lane is clearly warranted as you have pointed out in your analysis. We accept the results,
however, there are some items that should be noted:
We do not need a 2021 plus project scenario. The typical scenarios to evaluate are 2021 existing, buildout
year background and buildout year plus project.
• The analysis shows that the site's trip assignment for the right turns at the intersection is 49, over half of the
right -turn volumes. The site's right turn volumes for this site will require that the development construct a
westbound right -turn lane, unless it has already been constructed with Vincenza North Subdivision.
• In the future, please provide Figures like shown in Figures 3, 4 and 5 in the attached for the trip assignments
at the intersection(s).
No revision is necessary at this time, but please note the above comments.
