To the Meridian City Council,
I plan to talk on the behalf of Hillsdale Creek Neighborhood in today's City Council meeting regarding the Centerville
annexation and rezoning application meeting.
First, I want to acknowledge the hard work that the City Council has put in along with our WASD friends to better
understand where we stand today. I plan to speak today in the City Council Meeting on this outstanding public concern
of overcrowded schools in the Southeast Meridian area along with the outstanding public concern of traffic and safety
on the one and only collector to the school - Hillsdale Ave. (ACHD has no plans to make any changes to this street, which
exacerbates the public concern).
Finally, I want to reiterate that the public has little faith in the developer's provided Traffic Impact Study (TIS). It is
riddled with inaccurate assumptions and outdated data and we are worried that the outdated and inaccurate TIS
conclusions are driving bad decisions for the Amity and Hillsdale Ave. intersection, Amity Rd impact fee calculations and
hides away real traffic concerns that the Centerville's current plan will create on Hillsdale Ave.
I look forward to speaking with you all.
Best,
James Phillips
