This is a 1.7 acre parcel that we own and we would like to develop this property with a commercial retail building. Our proposal is consistent with the new comprehensive plan and is also consistent with the neighboring properties, which properties include Petals and Stems and Wal-Mart. This parcel is in an area of expanding commercial growth and it sits along an entry corridor for the City of Meridian. A high quality commercial development is appropriate and desirable in this location. We further request that due to the small depth of this lot, the planning director allow this parcel to have the (5) ft. detached sidewalk, to be installed along Fairview, be included in the (35) ft. front landscape buffer.
