Re:
Proposed Agenda Item for May 2, 2006 City Council Meeting
The Public Works Department respectfully requests the following item be placed on the May
2 City Council agenda, under department reports, for Council's consideration:
Procurement of Biosolids Direct Dryer System. One bid was received for this project that was
deemed non responsive by the Public Works Department because it had conditions attached
to it.
.
Andritz-Ruthner, Inc.
$2,874,980
Since there were no responsive bids received for this project, the code allows the Public
Works Department to enter into contract negotiations with a selected supplier. The Public
Works Department requests to enter into contract negotiations with Andritz-Ruthner, Inc.
Recommended Council Action: The Public Works Department recommends that City
Council declares the bid for the Procurement of Biosolids Direct Dryer System with
Andritz-Ruthner, Inc. for $2,874,980 non responsive and authorizes the Public Works
Department to enter into contract negotiations with Andritz-Ruthner, Inc for a
Biosolids Direct Dryer System.
Thank you for your consideration. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding
any of these items.
