MEMORANDUM
To:
William G. Berg, Jr., City Clerk
Mayor Robert D. Corrie, Council Members,
Walt Morrow
From: Wm. F. Nichols RECEIVED
Subject: Walt Morrow Appeal - Case No. AP-01-00 Ai/~ I 5 ~c~
CITY OF MERIDIAN
Date: August 15, 2002 CITY CLERK OFFICE
At the City Council meeting on August 6, 2002, the Council asked to table the
Order on Mr. Morrow's appeal so Council could review the minutes. The specific issue relates
to paragraph 2 on page 4 of the Order.
As drafted, paragraph 2 reads:
"The building shall only be used for storage and a loafing area for cattle. Any expansion
of use of this building will require a conditional use permit."
Mr. Morrow requested that paragraph 2 read as follows:
"The building shall only be used for storage and a loafing area for cattle."
Here are two alternatives for paragraph 2 which may clarify the issue:
"The building shall only be used for storage and a loafing area for cattle. Any expansion
of the use of this building for anything other than what is allowed under the current I-L
zoning is prohibited, unless appropriate application is made to, and approved by, the
City."
or
"The building shall only be used for storage and a loafing area for cattle. Any other uses
for this building, except those allowed under the current zoning, will require a
conditional use permit."
We will prepare the final order as directed by the Council.
