HomeMy WebLinkAboutLetter from Ramblin Ct Resident RECEIVED APR 1 8 2006 c~ of Meridian city Clerk 01Jige The residents ofRamblin Court, off North Black Cat Road are requesting a fence along the back of the properties which will border the future Keego Springs Subdivision planned for 5910 North Black Cat Road. A sturdy (and ideally, impregnable) fence, offset by at least two (2) feet from existing fencing OR a small berm with, perhaps a less-expensive but equally solid barrier between the currently developed properties at Ramblin Court and planned Keego Springs Subdivision. A survey of recent developments off of Black Cat and Ten Mile Roads yielded varying examples of similar provisions( example photos are available); as, until recent time, west Meridian has remained relatively ruraL The rationale for such a request being based on the following concerns, which we find to be neither unreasonable, nor unfeasible: - Maintenance of aesthetic continuity in the case that the future residents ofKeego Springs are permitted individual choices in style/heightJtype of fencing potentially bordering already established properties; - Preservation of a particularly peaceful and quiet dynamic that has formed in our neighborhood; , - Protection of assets, health of pets and livestock, safety of children, and maintenance of landscaping; - Prevention of dumping (grass clippings, trash, et cetera) from neighboring houses; and - any currently unforseen issues that may arise with the establishment of the Keego Springs Subdivision.
