Narrative
Lovejoy’s Ice Cream LLC currently operates an ice cream parlor location at 1760 S Meridian Rd
#101, Meridian, ID 83642. The suite is 1855 sq ft. and sits in between two restaurants, The Curb
and Red Pavilion.
Lovejoy’s would like to place an 8’x12’ external walk-in freezer behind their suite (on the east
side). The freezer would allow for extra storage and enable more inventory flexibility. The Curb
(to the north of Lovejoy’s) has a walk-in refrigerator. The new walk-in freezer would be placed
just south of The Curb’s walk-in refrigerator.
Currently there is a small tree and a small patch of grass in the location that Lovejoy’s wants to
place the freezer. Lovejoy’s will remove the tree and grass and put in a level cement pad as well
as some landscaping rocks. The freezer will be manufactured by Polar King and painted to
match nearby buildings. Polar King will build the insulated fiberglass freezer. Then it will be
shipped via semi-trailer and loaded onto the cement pad by a small crane. Beyond the cement
pad and light landscaping, the only necessary work is hooking up power, which will be done by
a licensed electrician.
