WOMER W: CIVIL ENGINEERING March 7, 2022 Project No.: N1420004 Ms. Sonya Allen City of Meridian Planning Division 33 East Broadway Avenue, Suite 102 Meridian, ID 83642 RE: Woodcrest Townhomes Subdivision — Meridian, ID Alternative Compliance On behalf of Landmark Pacific Investors, we are submitting for an alternative compliance for the private street. The requirements we are proposing to modify include code section 11-3F: Private Street Requirements but more specifically Section 4: Standards, subsection A4. We are proposing to use a faux gate in lieu of the traditional residential gate. This proposed alternative means of compliance allows the unique shape of the project to best interact with the surrounding developed features. It will also provide structure and definition to the private street that it is not a part of the surrounding park lots. The installation of a traditional residential gate would negatively impact existing parking stalls and drive aisles with their swinging mechanics. We are requesting that the faux gates be approved as an alternative to the traditional gates as our proposed changes provide an equal or superior method of code compliance. Please contact me should you have any questions with the proposed alternative. Thank you for your consideration. BLAINE A. WOMER CIVIL ENGINEERING By: \ ••- Andrew Newell, Project Manager 4355 W.
