I reached out to Penelope and she reminded me of a discussion she and I had regarding the mislabeled day on the rd neighborhood meeting notice. So, as seen in the attachment, she sent out an original notice on the 23 but it had the rdth wrong day for March 3 (noted Monday instead of Thursday) so she reached out to me about this on February 28 and I told her she should send a second notice with the correction (noted in her submittal packet for the neighborhood meeting). This morning, I forgot about this discussion I had with Penelope because of my workload, etc. I apologize for that forgetfulness. With this context, does she need to hold a new neighborhood meeting and continue the project or is the project good to go forward? Thank you! Joe: Please see the attached documentation: 1  Post marked original NM Letter - 02/23/22  Meeting notice with phone number and email address  Email correspondence 02/27-28/22 The email correspondence documents that I alerted you of the mistake on the letter, suggestion to send a follow up post card (mailed 02/27/22) and email correspondence asking for direction. There was no indication in your response that anything other the sending the follow up post card was needed. I believe that we have met all of the required standards and directions. According to the th dates noted in the application and the neighborhood meeting letter, notice was sent out on February 28 and rd the meeting was held on March 3 which is not 5 days because February only has 28 days in it. Because of this, the project must be continued in order for you to hold a new neighborhood meeting that complies with the code outlined time provisions. This is unfortunate but we cannot overlook this discrepancy. Please confirm receipt and understanding of this email when you have a chance. th I am aiming for just a two week continuance to May 19 – this should provide you enough time to send notices, meet at least 5 days after, and then let the required 10 days pass before the application goes to P&Z. This only works if the neighborhood meeting is done in the next two weeks. Best Regards, 2 Joseph Dodson | Current Associate Planner City of Meridian | Community Development 33 E. I think a secondary post card regarding the confusion is applicable here. I do not want a neighbor to be able to throw a wrench in this because they were confused by an honest mistake. Joe: Originally I planned on having the NM on Monday, March 7th and drafted the notice to that effect. In an effort to expedite, I reset the meeting for this coming Thursday. I see that Meridian was one of the labels so a notice is coming to City Hall. The notices were sent and postmarked Wednesday, Feb. 23. I changed the day number but not the day name when I changed the notice. It reads Monday, March 3rd. Notices were delivered on Friday as I received my copy on Friday. I've not heard from anyone. How would you like me to handle this? Send a post card tomorrow regarding the confusion between the day number vs the day name? Leave it alone ... what? Image removed by sender.
