I wanted to follow up and at least share what our division is recommending to ensure you have the right services for your needs, but also allow us to perform a safe and reliable service. Due to City franchise guidelines, our team recommends the following as they also review their commitment to the city. 1. Increase the 2yd vertical compactor to a 3yd. This allows for more room and can handle the trash during the weekend. Due to city guidelines, we can only run services from 6 am to 8 am on Saturdays and then pick back up Monday morning. The current 2yd compactor may not be enough to handle weekends Regrettably, we can't upgrade to 3 yd bins. Operationally, our restaurants do need 7-day a week service, but we would be open to arranging for our Sunday needs to be met by a 3rd party at our expense. 2. Your team would be fully responsible to stage the equipment once they leave for the night and have it ready for us to service between time of closing and 5 am. Your staff will also be responsible for moving back the equipment once emptied. This is agreeable, and is consistent with our procedures at other stores. 3. In-n-out will need to sign a waiver acknowledging that trash/recycling not staged outside the enclosure before 4 am will not be considered a miss. Our driver will take a photo, send it to our dispatch and yours and will return when it's safe to provide service, which may be the next business day. This is agreeable, we could sign such a waiver at any time convenient for Republic or the City of Meridian. 4. In-n-out will maintain and repair their own equipment. Plus if containers are overloaded upon service and trash falls out the side of the container, this is not the responsibility of Republic drivers to clean it up This is agreeable, and is consistent with our procedures at other stores. Our true wish list would be: a. 3 yard Compactor receiver boxes b. No roof on enclosure c. Dedicated solid waste enclosure -20' wide d. Service where you all don't need to stage the equipment and we can do it for you but only if above was met too. We are open to discussions. Unfortunately we are mainly under the direction of the City, so services outside their `norm" has to be run by the city. Best to do this early — especially since you'll be opening up more stores in the Tri-City area (E IN rward to hearing from you soon.
