All, 1 Settlers Irrigation has completed a final walk through of the Irrigation construction that occurred, thus far, as part of the proposed Jamestown Ranch development. The District approves the existing construction for the 2022 irrigation season with the understanding that the irrigation work along McMillan rd. will need to be removed and redesigned per the District’s requirements, and there may be other issues concerning proposed encroachments within the District’s which will need addressed. The District will work with the Walsh Groups’ engineer on the redesign and to address these additional issues involving the Lemp Canal and its easement. At the same time, the District needs to know what the positions of ACHD, the City of Meridian, and Idaho Power are going to be, prior to the District providing any final approvals. Final approval by the District will require approved plans by the District and an executed License Agreement or Addendum between the owner of the property and the District. Based on numerous reasons, the District’s position is that it would be in everyone’s best interest that the Lemp Canal along McMillan Rd. be piped as part of this development.
