Good Afternoon Alan,
I was asked to reach out to you regarding code enforcement violations regarding 4175 S. Leaning Tower Ave. I searched
our database and only found one call for service regarding a parking concern in the area. On 2/11/22, Code
Enforcement Lead Ami Nunes responded regarding a parking complaint (ITS Code Enforcement Incident 295473) at 4175
S. Leaning Tower Ave. Essentially Ami was sent a photo of a vehicle parked the wrong way and partially blocking the
neighboring property but did not witness the vehicle upon her arrival. She contacted the resident and educated them
on vehicles parking in such a manner and the need for them to park legally. Follow up visits were performed by Officer
Negrete at the property on 2/14, 2/15 and 2/16 at different times of the day and he did not locate any vehicles parked in
any violation in the area. No other calls were located within Code Enforcement calls for service. I also did a search, for
the last three months, for patrol and did not locate any calls for service through the non-emergency system.
Please let me know if you need further.
Thank you.

Thank you for providing that information, Lacy.
I recall going out to this address. Although I did not witness a violation, I attempted to educate
the individual running the daycare on the codes (parking the wrong way, partially blocking
driveways etc.) My hope was she would pass the information along to the parents picking up
the children. She was unfriendly and I was not confident she would pass along the
information. I advised the complainant to contact us or non-emergency dispatch when these
1
violations occur. I also asked Tony Negrete, who was covering the area at the time to drive by
periodically for a bit and address any violations he sees; however, none were observed.
The complainant voiced concern about the resident expanding the daycare. I encouraged her
to attend any meetings scheduled for a CUP with the Planning Commission and contact Health
and Welfare who issues the state license.

Good Morning,
I was able to find Ami’s call for service from 2/11/22 regarding a parking complaint (ITS Code Enforcement Incident
295473) at 4175 S. Leaning Tower Ave. Essentially Ami was sent a photo of a vehicle parked the wrong way and partially

any vehicles parked in any violation in the area.
Upon review of Accela, it appears the same applicant had a finalized permit issued (3/10/20) to her under a different
daycare name that would have allowed 6 children. I am seeing a withdrawn AUP permit request (10/6/21) from the
applicant stating that she takes care of children’s needs (sounds like she was already operating) and was applying to
serve 12 children then. I’m not sure why it was withdrawn but I’m guessing she was asked why she was applying for a
new AUP and was told she needed a CUP if she was to have more than 6 children.
Please let me know if you were looking for more or different input.
Thank you.
