Mayor Simison and Council Members,
The Oaks Subdivision HOA recently held our annual meeting. Homeowners were told Toll Brothers homes is now putting
in rentals at the northeast corner of McMillian and McDermott Roads. The Toll Brothers executive who is the HOA
president (there are no homeowners on the HOA board) told us the rentals were already approved. Worse, these rentals
will be a part of our HOA without homeowners consent.
Homeowners in the Oaks are firmly against rezoning the property to rentals. We bought here with Toll Brothers telling
us a fire station was going in at the location. We know the plans have changed a few times for the property, but rentals
are not supported by our community. We would challenge you to find one Oaks homeowner in support of this rezoning
rental scheme.
Home ownership is the American dream. This dream is escaping normal people because of long terms rentals owned by
corporations. Please oppose rezoning and any support you have for this rental project.
