Idaho Ave Meridian, Id 83642~2300 .RE C E ~rVEn MAR 2 0 2006 CITY OF MERIDIAN '::ITY CLERr< O'-~'CF Reference: Sharp Estates Subdivision Dear City Council, After the March 7, 2006 City council meeting, we had a discussion with Ron Sargent about our 3 points of concern that we voiced at the City council meeting in regards to the proposed Sharp Estates. Mr. Sargent said he would make changes and present them to us at a future meeting. Later we agreed on a March 17, 2006 meeting. Ron Sargent met with us on March 17, 2006 and Presented the following changes to the proposed Sharp Estates plat. Our 3 points of concern were addressed as follows: 1. Density a. 2 lots bordering Packard acres #3 were removed and the remaining lots (1- 8 Blk 2) were widened to 60 Ft (See attached plat provided by Ron Sargent) b. Ron Sargent stated that all lots 1-8 Blk 2 would have single level homes only. Both parties also agreed that if there were bonus rooms on these lots, the windows would be street facing only and not rear facing. 2. Lack of Common Area a. By eliminating the 2 story houses on lots 1-8 Blk 2 we feel that the original concept of "empty nesters" will be achieved and therefore, a migration of children to Packard Estates play areas and common areas will be significantly reduced. 3. Need to Vacate Wingate Lane a. Evidently there are still things to be worked out with Wingate lane. We hope it can be vacated back to Challis st. Pg 1 of2 ", ~ In conclusion, it is our judgment that the developer has made a reasonable effort to address our concerns and we appreciate it. Although we represent 2 of the 4 concerned parties that attended the March 7,2006 City council meeting, we are now in support of this development with these agreed to changes. We do not represent the other homeowners of Packard Estates, but we will certainly encourage them to agree with these changes at the March 22, 2006 meeting (which we heard about thru Ron Sargent).
