The Purdam Gulch Drain is listed as a historic site in the “Idaho Historic Sites Inventory Meridian Area of Impact” It
is listed under “01-19877 Purdam Gulch Drain - Pioneer Irrigation District Drainage System “
Please preserve this historic waterway. Leaving the gulch as an open water amenity would in no way change the
subdivision building plan, it would just make the 'buffer' more natural and aesthetically pleasing.
More focus should be put on preserving natural and wild spaces when designing and developing new areas. Waterways
such as this attract more wildlife and allow larger trees and foliage to grow, which increases the value and quality of living
of the surrounding areas.
