All storm water, I am assuming, is being retained onsite since there is nothing on the plans showing storm water. The pressure irrigation exterior main lines should be six inch (6") all other interior lines must be a minimum of four inch (4"). There needs to be a bypass for your MEI Clear water screen. The drain valves attachment to the main lines do not meet Nampa & Meridian Irrigation District's specifications. The size and type of valves method which attach the main line also do not meet our specifications. The number of services do not meet the District's specification either. Nampa & Meridian Irrigation District would prefer a regular partial weir rather than the V- notched weir shown in the plans. All encroachments within the Kennedy easement must be with approved plans and a signed License Agreement. Please contact the District's attorney, Ms. Laura Burri at 342-4591 and ask that she prepare this document. Once this agreement has been signed and returned it will be presented to the District's Board of Directors for their consideration at the next available board meeting. Pump curves must be verified to ensure adequate pressure and water allotment. A First Street Welding Screen mounted on the headwall in the Kennedy Lateral with a C-10 headgate behind it would be more acceptable as then all the trash would remain in the Kennedy Lateral. All excess water from the sump must be diverted and piped to the Ten Mile Drain back to the northeast. This would ensure an adequate and constant flow instead of returning back into the Kennedy Lateral which is unacceptable to Nampa & Meridian Irrigation District. Once the above concerns have been addressed this proposed project should meet and be acceptable to Nampa & Meridian Irrigation District. Idaho Ave. Meridian, ill 83642 RE: Kennedy Lateral/Umbria Subdivision Dear Kristy: Nampa & Meridian Irrigation District would prefer that all laterals were piped as development occurs. There are many safety reasons for this (i.e. operation, maintenance etc.). However at this time the District does not have any requirements concerning this. If laterals aren't piped then we ask that fences and encroachments need to be placed far enough back to allow for machinery to perfonn all necessary operation and maintenance.
