Vacate Sewer and Water easements within Lot 15, Block 1, Brenda
Estates Subdivision.
Staff has reviewed this submittal and offers the following comments:
APPLICATION SUMMARY
The Applicant, Ron Christison, has requested the City's consent to vacate a City of Meridian
sewer and water easement located in Lot 15, Block 1, Breda Estates Subdivision. The easement
was dedicated with plat note 9 of the recorded plat of Brenda Estates Subdivision Book 80 Page
8596.
The subject applicant is currently applying to Ada County Highway District (ACHD) to turn
over (dedicate) their private street to ACHD. The applicant has indicated that the ACHD will not
accept right-of-way encumbered by existing easements. and therefore is requesting permission
ITom the City of Meridian to vacate the existing sewer and water easements. The areas requested
for vacation are commonly known as: Brenda Lane. Daly Lane. and Interlachen Lane.
The site is generally located V2 mile south of Ustick Road and V2 mile east of Black Cat Road,
which puts it approximately in the center of Section 3, Township 3 N., Range 1 W, BM.
The owner of record of the parcel on which the proposed easements to be vacated lie is the
Brenda Estates Homeowner's Association, Inc. The president of the Brenda Estates HOA Ron
Christison, has submitted a notarized consent for the subject application.
The Unified Development Code 11-5A-l, requires the City Council to be the decision making
body on vacations applied for in the City of Meridian.

North - Residential, zoned R4
South - Residential, zoned R4
East - Residential, zoned R4
West - Residential, zoned R 4
CONDITION OF APPROVAL (V AC-O6-002)
1. The City of Meridian Public Works Department has no concerns on the proposed
vacation, with the condition that the proposed lot does become a public street, deeded to
the Ada County Highway District.
