Applications: comprehensive plan amendment Key Issues of Discussion thus far by Council: 1. Southeast Comer ofN. McDennott Road and W. Chinden Blvd. (Waterfield/Jenkins parcels): 2. Did not change NW comer of lO-Mile and Chinden to commercial or mixed use neighborhood. 16. Continued concerns for property owners along McDermott Road. Outstanding Issue(s) for City Council: 17. This item was held over to re-notice a substantial change from the draft approved by P &Z. Notice was sent out proposing a mixed use or commercial designation instead of residential on the NW and NE comers of Linder and Ustick. 18. The City received one letter from the property owners south of Ustick regarding their desire to be included in the change ofland use designations. As was noted previously, this was outside the study area boundary which begins north of U stick. 19. Staff also received telephone several inquiries regarding the proposed change. Two homeowners in the area were generally opposed to the mixed use designation. The developer's representative for Windsong inquired about the change in designation. We also spoke with the site designer for the NE comer property. Findings: Yes-for the comprehensive plan amendment application. NOTE: If there is a motion for approval tonight, it needs to include directing legal staff to prepare a resolution adopting the amendment. Notes:
