Dear Mayor Simison, We realize we do not live in Meridian city limits, but do most all of our shopping in Meridian. We are very concerned about the light industrial project that has been proposed on Black Cat between Franklin and the 84. The traffic on Black Cat has already doubled in the last two (2) years and if this project goes through it will be next to impossible to get onto Black Cat off of Overland. We understand it will be several years before Black Cat is expanded. That means for now a traffic light will have to be put up. Many times we are in front or behind gravel trucks coming from Busy Bee and when they are going down hill it is next to impossible for them to stop since they are fully loaded. Most of us between Black Cat and McDermott and the 84 and Overland have our own wells. All of the new homes and apartments off Franklin and Black Cat is already putting a strain on the water table. This project will add to it. Who is going to pay to drop the bowls on our wells? Many of us are seniors, like us, and on a limited income. Please let the City Council be aware of our concerns and not approve this project. We have already contacted the City Clerk with our concerns. Thank you.
