Hi Alan, We did a site visit a while back and found that there are some power poles/lines that may also be in conflict with the alignment with Joy Street. We are starting the staff report, so I believe we will recommend a modification of Policy based on this. It will be offset ~985-feet, which is a 25% modification of Policy that can be approved by our Development Services Manager. I will keep you posted if anything changes. Thanks, Paige Bankhead, E.I. Exercise caution when opening attachments or clicking links, especially from unknown senders. Paige, I am beginning to work on the staff report for the Jamestown Ranch Subdivision, which is scheduled for Planning Commission on November 18, 2021. The Master Street Map shows a new north-collector aligned with N. Joy Street. The Plat shows this collector offset to the west, right about in the middle of the subdivision. 1 In general, we try to support collector roadways at the mid-mile or at least have them align with other intersecting streets. In this particular case the property owner wants to retain his existing residence, so the applicant is proposing an offset at the north-south collector and is also proposing a curve to provide traffic calming. The City can flexible on the alignment, if the offset is warranted and meets ACHD policy. Any comments on the new alignment?
