Broadway Ave., Meridian, Idaho 83642 Begin forwarded message: From: Sam Scranton <sam.scranton@gmail.com> Date: November 10, 2021 at 2:10:03 PM MST To: Joe Borton <jborton@meridiancity.org> Subject: Challenger Development @ Amity and Hillsdale External Sender - Please use caution with links or attachments. Mr Borton. I am writing to you to express my opposition to the proposed action for the Challenger Development at Amity and Hilldale here on the south side of Meridian. Its my understanding that this project is now to the City Council for consideration. I want to express my concerns with the project and encourage you to consider what this will do to this part of town if approved. I am not in support of rezoning for this project as I believe it is in conflict with the Citys' comprehensive plan. I am also very concerned about the traffic and the issue that will result from this if approved. I keep hearing that Ada County has done a study and its all good, but here inlies the question, has anyone ever verified the study results were in fact accurate? Actually validated the study? Not hearing anything on that. Also, please consider the impact on the school system. We cant even accommodate the kids living in our neighborhood at Hillsdale Elementary and now you want to add even more kids. The middle school is planned across the street but it wouldnt even be completed 2 years from now if they started today. All of these are I believe legitimate concerns that you as our council member I hope are considering before you vote for this one way or the other. Thanks for your consideration of my concerns and I really do hope you can step into our shoes for a day to understand our position. 1 Sam Scranton “Your belief determines where you will spend eternity, your behavior determines how you will spend eternity" Pastor Robert Morris 2
