PLEASE USE CAUTION WHEN OPENING ATTACHMENTS OR LINKS INSIDE THIS EMAIL.] Paige, I believe you’ve been in contact with a couple of people form our team regarding the Hills Century Storage project. I’m following up to provide a clarification, and an updated site plan related to the emergency access. Our Fire Department emergency-only access from Amity Road is actually 31’5” from the edge of future pavement, and not the 22 feet referenced in the staff report. In addition, the emergency only access will be fully paved from Amity. There can be no public access as this will be controlled by a Fire Department approved Knoxbox padlock. In consultation with Meridian Fire Department, the gates have to be reversed and swing inward away from Amity (as shown on this plan). And the Fire access requirement is also 30 feet from edge of pavement on Amity. The emergency-only gate is inline with the edge of the building which is fully outside of the public ROW. And by swinging the gates inward, we have addressed the Fire Department’s requirement as well. So, we are respectfully requesting approval of the Fire Department emergency-only access gate be approved at the 31’5” setback from pavement.   Jon Wardle President, Brighton Development, Inc.
