Nelis Ave., in the SE ¼ of Section 34, Township 4 North, Range 1 West I. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The applicant Nathan Cooney, Calvary Chapel Meridian, Inc., has requested a two (2) year time extension on the conditional use permit (H-2018-0031) to commence the use as permitted in accord with the conditions of approval, satisfy the requirements set forth in the conditions of approval and acquire building permits and commence construction of permanent footings or structures on or in the ground. II. APPLICANT INFORMATION A. Applicant: Nathan Cooney, Calvary Chapel Meridian, Inc. – 2483 E Fairview Avenue, #101, Meridian ID 83642 B. Owner: Calvary Chapel Meridian, Inc. – 2483 E Fairview Avenue, #101, Meridian ID 83642 C. Representative: Ten Mile Investment, LLC – 621 N. Robinson Blvd., Nampa, ID 83687 III. STAFF ANALYSIS The conditional use permit (H-2018-0031) for this project was approved by City Council on May 17, 2018. Additionally, the Planning Division approved a certificate of zoning compliance and administrative design review (A-2020-0009) on March 11, 2020 for the new church located on 8.36 acres of land in the I-L zoning district. The Applicant requests a two (2) year time extension to commence the use approved with the conditional use permit. The Applicant has currently submitted an application to obtain a building permit (C-NEW-2020-0025) to construct the church for this project. The reason the applicant was STAFF REPORT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT Page 2 unable to meet the required deadline as stated in the application narrative is due to the resignation of the employee responsible for completing the time extension for Calvary Chapel Meridian. Upon returning from Covid-19 stay at home orders, this permit was found to be expired. With all extensions, the Director may require the conditional use permit to comply with the current provisions of this title. Staff is not recommending any additional conditions of approval for this extension. IV. DECISION Staff: Staff recommends approval of the proposed two (2) year time extension on the conditional use permit to expire on May 17, 2022. V. EXHIBITS A. Vicinity Map B.
