RE: West Ada School District – Meridian High School Achievement House
Property Boundary Adjustment
Dear Mr. Dodson:
On behalf of West Ada School District, we are pleased to submit the attached application and
supplementary materials for a property boundary adjustment at the property referenced above.
Meridian High School is located at 1720 West Pine Avenue and is identified in County records as parcel
number S1211141845. Also included in the campus is a smaller parcel addressed as 1680 West Pine
Avenue and identified as parcel number S1211142299. The larger parcel is currently approximately 33.4
acres and contains a portion of the main high school campus, while the smaller parcel is currently
approximately 0.95 acres and primarily contains associated parking and hardscape areas.
As you know, the District is currently working on a remodeling project at the Achievement House, a small
house along Pine Avenue within the main campus parcel, to improve it for student and District use.
Through the course of the remodel it was determined that the existing property line between the subject
parcels falls in such a manner that the required setback from the Achievement House building cannot be
maintained. In order to rectify this encroachment and create a better overall parcel configuration, we are
proposing to adjust the parcel boundaries so that the Achievement House is within its own parcel and the
needed setbacks can be maintained.
The attached record of survey and legal descriptions further identify the proposed adjustment, which is
not expected to have any detrimental impacts to existing buildings or facilities.
