NOTICE OF HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to the Ordinances of the City of Meridian and the
Laws of the State of Idaho, that the Meridian City Council of the City of Meridian will hold a
public hearing at the Meridian City Hall, 33 East Idaho Avenue, Meridian, Idaho, at the hour of
7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2007, for the purpose of reviewing and considering the
application AP 07-007 of JUB Engineers for an Appeal to City Council of the Planning
Director's decision to deny the Certificate of Zoning Compliance request for Lot 10, Block 1
based on UDC Table 11-213-3, which requires a rear building setback in the L-O zone of 20 feet;
the Applicant believes a 10-foot rear building setback was previously approved for this site.
Further, the applicant is requesting that Lots 11 & 13 also be allowed to develop with a 10-foot
rear building setback for Stokesberry Subdivision No. 2, Lots 10, 11 & 13, Block 1 generally
located on the northwest corner of Eagle Road and River Valley Street.
A more particular description of the above property is on file in the Planning Department,
660 E. Watertower Lane Suite 202, and is available for inspection during regular business
hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You may contact the Planning
Department at (208) 884-5533 during regular business hours. A copy of the application is
available to review upon request.
Any and all interested persons shall be heard at said public hearing, and the public is
welcome and invited to submit testimony. Oral testimony may be limited to three (3) minutes
per person. Written materials should be submitted to the City Clerk's Office at 33 E. Idaho
Avenue, Meridian, Idaho 83642, (208) 888-4433 or fax (208) 888-4218 no later than seven (7)
days prior to the above hearing date so that all interested parties may examine them prior to the
hearing. All materials presented at public meetings shall become property of the City of
Meridian. Anyone desiring accommodation for disabilities related to documents and/or
hearings, please contact the City Clerk's Office at (208) 888-4433 at least 72 hours prior to the
public meeting.
The Ada County Highway District may also conduct public meetings regarding this
application. If you have questions about the traffic that this development may generate or the
