Re: Lavender Heights Pump House: Design Review Narrative
Lavender Heights is a new single family home development near Eagle and Lake Hazel. This project is to
construct a new pump house to conceal the irrigation equipment for the subdivision.
1. Architectural Character:
a. Cohesive Design: The building is designed with similar siding and colors to other neighborhood
amenity buildings within the subdivision.
b. Building Scale: The scale of the building is set to fit into the surrounding area and conceal the
irrigation equipment. The building is also set behind a large berm that will help to shield it from
view from Lake Hazel.
c. Building Form: The form of the building is designed to fit in with the style of the surrounding
residential buildings, using a gable roof to mirror similar rooflines in planned houses for the
subdivision.
d. Architectural Elements: The goal of the building is to emulate the look of the proposed houses in
the subdivision, but on a smaller scale.
e. Materials: The building is designed with Hardie-board siding and trim to fit in with the proposed
style of the neighborhood.
f. Signs and/or Lighting: Building signage and lighting are not proposed with this building.
