Please pass on the following comments to the City Council and include in the public comments for this project.
We are Brian and Pam Russell and we reside in the Woodbridge neighborhood at 2244 East Greiner St. The proposed
development aligns to Woodbridge’s eastern border.
We are opposed to the development as noted in this email’s subject line. The development has multiple issues
including:
City of Meridian and Ada County Highway District (ACHD) have yet to solve the untenable traffic issue by
approving new development. Andorra with its upwards of 200 cars in and out each day will make a bad
situation of cut-through traffic in Woodbridge worse and devalue our private property. This additional traffic
adds to an already dangerous situation of effectively living on a feeder street to Eagle and Locust Grove
Roads. Try getting on/off Eagle Road today – now imagine another 200 cars coming and going twice a day.
You approved the Meridian Meadows development and its supposed adequate parking. Now Magic View is
clogged with cars belonging to the workers at Meridian Meadows. We have low confidence your traffic
engineers’ ability to estimate vehicle impact. Try again.
Woodbridge is designed with modest to large size homes with ample public space and large lots. This new
development installs an army of skinny houses that encroach on the Woodbridge view & the style of Andorra’s
nearest neighborhoods – Woodbridge and Greenhill. This is not acceptable.
The development is no longer restricted to a retirement community, as first promised; what other commitments
will this developer forego?
Rather, we did support the 55+ community that was proposed in 2019 and approved by the city council. This new
proposal is day & night as compared to the earlier, approved development.
We respectfully ask the City Council members not approve the development.
Best Regards,
Brian and Pam Russell
