Dear Planning and Zoning Committee and City Council, I am a resident that will be negatively impacted by the proposed Centerville Subdivision. I am letting you know that I oppose Engineering Solutions, LLP proposal to rezone the Centerville subdivision because it is in conflict with the City of Meridians Master Development Plan. I oppose the developers proposal for the following reasons: - It hinders the current school capacity from k-12. You’ll hurt the kids education and ability to learn with over capacity schools. - It will significantly overburden the existing and proposed infrastructure, such as roads, schools and fire departments. - The suggested mitigation, ie child care, will only support the new planned development and not benefit the existing community in any way. - Existing home values will be negatively impacted. - Substantially increase noise pollution and pollution. Please, for the vision of the surrounding area, please reject the proposal by Engineering Solutions, LLP and their high density housing initiative. I am letting you know that I oppose Engineering Solutions, LLP proposal to rezone the Centerville subdivision because it is in conflict with the City of Meridians Master Development Plan. I oppose the developers proposal for the following reasons: - It is in conflict with the Citys vision depicted on its Future Land Use Map - It is in conflict with supporting a healthy, thriving and sound community. - It is in conflict with the mission of the Planning Division to advance the quality lifestyle and economy envisioned in the City of Meridians Comprehensive Plan - It will significantly overburden the existing and proposed infrastructure, such as roads, schools and fire departments. - It is in direct conflict with the current building and subdivisions, including the medium density housing and existing housing market in the area. Please, for the vision of the surrounding area, please reject the proposal by Engineering Solutions, LLP and their high density housing initiative. Best Regards, Resident and neighbor, Marshall and Stephanie Cox. 1
