I would like to take this opportunity to express my concern and objection to the building of the Centerville Subdivision,
Some points I would like to make are as follows.
1. The infrastructure in the area is not nor will be in the future, able to handle the added travel from the proposed HIGH
DENSITY subdivision.
2. The close proximity to Million dollar homes is going to drive down the value of those homes, which will not only drive
down the amount of taxes you will be able to collect on those Million dollar homes , but will also change the whole
concept of the neighborhoods in that area. The reason people are paying a premium price for homes in that area is
because they are upscale, the addition of high density homes changes that whole ideal in which we bought into.
There are PLENTY of other areas in the vicinity where they can build high density homes that will not affect the
surrounding areas and the CITY can still collect their taxes.
3. Hillsdale Elementary is in NO WAY able to accommodate the extra children that will need to attend.
4. That area NEEDS to be developed with some upscale homes just like the ones surrounding the property.
In conclusion, I would like to ask that the city reconsider this development and put yourself in our shoes and think about
the investment WE have made into this area. I am in no way saying "Not in my back yard" I am SIMPLY saying this is poor
planning as there are plenty of areas in the vicinity that are a better fit for this type of housing. Before I was lucky
enough to afford a single family dwelling in a nice neighborhood and had to rent, I never once felt my apartment or
townhome or high density housing should be built right next to something like our existing homes.
