3. Growth data analyzed represents only the City of Meridian. WASD attendance areas include portions outside of the City that may have planned growth that affects school enrollment as well.4. Dwelling Units are the additional units in a year based on the building permits that were issued in that year. This includes units with age restrictions. Preliminary plat data is not included.5. Estimated 2021 Dwelling Units is based on the assumption that the remainder of the year growth will continue at the same rate it has been year to date. 6. School attendance areas analyzed are based on school year 21-22 WASD attendance areas at the time of analysis. Attendance areas can change anytime during or between school years.
Schools Impacted Permit History Totals
1. Capacity and Enrollment are provided by West Ada School District (WASD). 2. Estimated WASD Students Generated is based on a Student Generation Rate (SGR) of 0.7 students/single family residential unit and 0.1 students/multi-family residential unit. By grade level this calculates to: Elementary SGR: 0.323; Middle SGR: 0.162; High SGR: 0.215 for single family and Elementary SGR: 0.046; Middle SGR: 0.023; High SGR: 0.031 for multi-family. This estimate does not include students in charter, private, and home schools. SGR does not vary for units with age restrictions for the purposes of this analysis.
