The Idaho State Tax Commission (ISTC) received the documentation that was provided
for the annexation of real property in MERIDIAN (CITY), for tax year 2010. We
approve the map and legal description; however this approval is limited to the
acknowledgement that the map and legal description meet the requirements of Section
63-215 Idaho Code, and Idaho State Tax Commission Rule 225.

Subject: Idaho State Tax Commission Letters
I am in the process of adding a new layer to the distribution of information on Ordinances. When an Ordinance
gets sent to the State Tax Commission, they respond to me with a letter and a map. I read the letter and there is
a line where they say, "Please review the documentation for accuracy and respond in a timely manner or it
may be too late to make corrections. Please respond if the attached documentation is correct or if there
are issues." In the past, the Clerk's office has only forwarded information from the Tax Commission if there is
something wrong with the legal description and if we need to make corrections. The way I interpret this letter is
that this is our chance to agree or disagree with their documentation of what they have received. My plan at this
point is to scan these in as I get them and send to Bill, Sonya, Pete and Steve. I believe we should respond to
the Tax Commission on each of these which I am sure is also their confirmation that we have received their
information. Please let me know what you think about this new process or if you can think of any way that it
would run more smoothly than what I have proposed. I have attached the first one which is Ordinance 09-1417A.
There will be two more following this one. I appreciate any input that you have.
