I was made aware that a nightclub got approved to be built on the corner of Ustick and Eagle. I would like to say as a
resident of the city of Meridian that I object to the location of this business. I understand that there are those who are
interested in having a nightclub in this city but it does not belong in a residential area. As I've read in the city
Comprehensive Plan I've seen that Oasis nightclub is in opposition to 9 items listed including 3.05.01C, 3.05.00, 5.01.00,
5.01.01, 5.01.01F, 5.01.02, 5.01.02E, 5.01.03 and 6.01.01G.
As a democracy we, the people have given our votes, essentially, our power to elect officials that will listen to us and
help make laws and changes that reflect the wants and needs of the majority. From what I've seen the majority do not
want this nightclub in our area. I hope the right thing can be done for all the people who own houses and who will be
driving the roads that will be negatively impacted by the building and operating of Oasis nightclub.
