Mr Mayor and Members of the City Council,
Thank you for all in your efforts in governing our great city of Meridian. I know it is often an arduous responsibility which
requires making tough decisions. I implore you to listen and truly consider the testimony of those testifying at the
hearing in opposition to the Oasis Nightclub held on Tuesday, July 20th.
While I am unable to join in person on Tuesday, I am writing in strong opposition to The Oasis Nightclub Conditional Use
Permit in our city at the corner of Ustick and Eagle Road, or anywhere within 5 miles of any housing developments,
schools of any age, shopping centers or city parks as these are where families and children reside and congregate. I join
my voice with fellow citizens of Meridian and surrounding areas who oppose this development. There are many well
documented concerns with safety, impact/burdens to adjacent businesses and residences and just overall lack of good
fit for the local.
As a voting citizen of Meridan, I again encourage you listen to the voices you represent, look at the facts presented and
make the right decision to deny the Oasis application.
Thank you,
David Shepherd
