Dear Meridian Mayor and City Council members,
I will be unable to attend the Public Hearing on July 20th regarding the approval of the Oasis
Nightclub on the corner of Eagle Road and Ustick Road.
I live in the Champion Park subdivision, and have serious concerns that a Nightclub establishment
will attract young people wanting to party, and the sale of narcotics will naturally follow. Champion
Park, a City of Meridian park, is located about two blocks from the proposed Nightclub, and is
COMPLETELY DARK ALL NIGHT LONG....what a great place for drug dealers to do business in
quiet, dark, privacy. I walk this neighborhood at night and early morning, and the darkness in the
park makes it necessary to carry a flashlight!
For the protection of Meridian residents, if you're going to approve a nightclub, please put it in a
public, well lit area to discourage bringing drug dealers into our neighborhoods.
