Second Street, in downtown Meridian. The following narrative highlights the key components of this application. Proposed Parking Exception: Per the Downtown Meridian Design Guidelines: Location: Off-street parking is allowed only at the rear of building not visible from streets and in parking structures. Parking is not allowed within 30 feet of street facing facades. This street facing area must be used for tenant space with active uses. We are proposing under this initial development phase, temporary surface parking along Portions of Broadway and E. Third Street to meet the parking requirements for the proposed 26,000 s.f. (+/-) mixed -use building. It is the developer's intent to develop the balance of this site (consistent with the Downtown Meridian Design Guidelines) once MDC is able to provide sufficient off -site public parking for the Downtown District as stated in the Guidelines. See attached phasing renderings for current and future proposed development on this site.
