Subject: Notes from a Nurse
Hello, I am a Registered Nurse and mom who lives extremely close to where the Oasis nightclub is
supposed to go. I have multiple issues with this. The main being safety of myself and my family. There
are enough accidents at that intersection and now to add an increase in under the influence and drunk
drivers to the area near so many homes at 55 mph?! You know as well as I do that despite the Oasis
saying they won’t tolerate drunk driving, it’s going to happen anyway along with individuals under the
influence that may not be “drunk” but have impaired judgement. My husband works swing shift and
most of the time is coming home between midnight and 1am during the time when this type of activity
will occur. I also work late at times like this. Not to mention the potential increase in violent or other
illegal activity. Nightclubs have also been targets for shootings. Mental health has taken a huge hit with

the pandemic with a huge increase in these types of incidents. On another note, I am worried about the
noise that may happen, potentially waking my young children or anyone else that has to get up early like
myself for work.
I respectfully ask that you please strongly consider my input, as well as from those that will be directly
impacted.
