Thank you for your service to the City of Meridian! We are writing to you regarding our support of
the Oasis nightlight on the corner of Eagle and Ustick.
We live on Centrepoint Way and are looking forward to both the nightlight and fitness center and
feel that it will enhance the quality of lives of the citizens in our neighborhood. The development
will increase our property value.
We do not anticipate parking to be an issue considering the other businesses in the area will
operate during the day and the nightclub typically will operate at night.
Oasis will be a multi-use venue for weddings, corporate events, meetings as well as a bar and
nightclub. The nightclub will feature various types of music including Electronic Dance Music
(EDM) which has a large following in our area. This would provide a great atmosphere for world-
class entertainment without having to go to downtown Boise or beyond.
Electronic Dance Music events have low rates of violent crime associated with them and patrons
will be 21+.
My husband and I are both in our 30’s and dj electronic dance music. We have put our blood,
sweat, and tears into our art. We are outstanding citizens of our community with successful
careers and would love to have a home for EDM in our community.
We moved into our home in November of 2020 and have been shut out from our homeowner’s
association although we pay our dues. We have not received notice of any meetings and were
looking forward to participating. We feel other stakeholders may have been shut out of the
process. We found out about Oasis issues on 7/14/21, thank you for reviewing our comments on
such short notice.
