What on earth is the Meridian Council thinking by tempting to approve the Oasis Night Club and the Villasport which
both have liquor being served and not enough parking!! The Oasis has not been honest with the Council in stating the
sq footage of the building and parking spaced required. This is NOT the type of businesses that should be put on this
already dangerous intersection of Eagle Rd and Ustick. The intersection going South onto Eagle Rd from Ustick requires
two turn lanes not one! Ustick is far to busy and congested now without this proposed development. There has
already been one fatality since Ustick became 2 lanes each way. I can only imagine the accidents, drunk driving etc these
types of businesses bring. We all purchased our homes in the communities along Ustick Road to have a fulfilling and
lasting family life. You can not approve a concert hall and Villaport with all the family homes in this area. Kids ride their
bikes, homeowners walk and walk their days throughout the day and evenings. There is going to be nothing but huge
tragedy with a multitude of accidents and heaven forbid deaths of innocent lives with the issues that accompany an
environment such as the businesses that serve alcohol and get patrons all fired up and then leave when the music stops.
We homeowners do not want them parking their vehicles in front of our homes as the proposed establishments did not
fully and honestly disclose the actual building size without the proper number of parking spaces. Believe me the City of
Meridian better be seeking more funds to hire more police as they are going to be needed if you approve the plans as
submitted for the corner of Ustick and Eagle Rd. Already vehicles sometimes travel 50-55 mph on Ustick and never a
police officer in site. I know I live just off Ustick btween Eagle Rd and Locust Grove and hear them speeding every single
day and night. We already had a DUI driver hit a Idaho Power main power box and put a lot of us residents out of power
for many hours and then days if detours while it was fixed. This about 1 year ago This planned development will
depreciate our property values severely through no fault of ours. I bet any Meridian City Council Member wouldn’t want
it in any of their personal neighborhoods. I will he there Tuesday along with many others to oppose this development!!
