I understand there are plans to open a Night Club on the south west corner of Eagle and Ustic Road. My wife and I are
totally against this business being so close to residential homes. We live in Copper Basin and are about a mile and a half
from this intersection and still feel this is way too close. We fully expect to have young adults, half drunk and feeling
wild, wandering through our neighborhood at 2, 3, and 4 o'clock in the morning causing trouble. This has happened in
the past with businesses like this so close to residential areas. Several years ago out close to the airport is just one
example! It had to be closed down in just 6 months due to increased crime! How will this be any different ??!! We
need to learn from history.
We will not be able to attend the "No Night Club" meeting on next Tuesday evening but would have made plans to
attend if we had known about it earlier. Please accept this email as our very strong VOTE AGAINST this business at this
location. We live in a very peaceful and relatively crime free neighborhood and are intent on keeping it this way. I
strongly suspect the additional income the city will receive from this business will mostly be taken away by the increase
in 911 calls, police action, other crime prevention costs, and additional management time by city employees! It will be a
major issue! We all watch our neighborhood very closely and will do everything we can to keep it safe. We pray you will
honor our wishes and fears.
