Dear Sirs,
We live in the Century Farm development in Meridian very close to the property where the proposed
development is located as referenced above.
As homeowner/taxpayers this causes us great concern about this proposed (or already approved?)
development so close to ONE of THREE exits we have in our development. The greatest worry is for the
children attending Hillsdale Elementary across the street. Currently many here have expressed, and we all
experience anxiety regarding traffic, noise and overall safety with the unchecked over development of our
area.
Adding homes to this area would make it very difficult for Century Farm and Hillsdale Creek residents to exit
via Stockenham/Hillsdale with additional traffic stemming from the proposed increase in high density
housing. Our views would be blocked....certainly many who have lived here for years, including ourselves,
purchased homes in order to enjoy a view of our beautiful mountains.
As you know, existing homeowners throughout the area are being threatened with water shortages from the
irrigation resources. And many have been profoundly effected with wells running dry already.
We are very concerned with this tremendous over development here without the infrastructure to support it, even
now, BEFORE more building takes place.
This is a reckless plan and does not make a "premier city" as we are being told by our mayor. This makes it unsafe,
crowded and more expensive.
We stand firmly against this development for the reasons above and with our surrounding neighbors. Please consider
our concerns and clear objections.
Rick and Kathi Wihlon
