To the Meridian City Council,
I would like to address the potential Club, The Oasis, that is being advertised to be opening at the corner of Eagle and
Ustick. The plan to put an EDM Club seems absurd just for the simple fact of plopping it down in the middle of suburban
residences. This would be more suited for the downtown or Garden City area. I live in Champion Park and if I can already
hear traffic noise from Eagle at my house, what do you think a club with nothing but bass blasting until 2am is going to
sound like? My neighbors and I would be negatively affected by this both by the noise as well as the traffic issues it
would produce. To put a club that will likely play extremely loud, bass pumping music all throughout the night is a
terrible idea and I can believe that any of the residence in the area would be okay with this. I actually really like techno
and EDM but not when I’m trying to sleep. I whole heartedly disagree with this decision and will be attending the
hearing for appeal next Tuesday to show my support for the club not to be allowed to open.
