Broadway Avenue Meridian, Idaho 83642 Re: Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment CPAM-H-2021-0041 Dear Caleb: Thank you for the opportunity to provide testimony on the Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment (CPAM-H-2021-0041) related to the MU-NR designation on property owned by Brighton and Meridian City. We are in complete support of this modification. At the time of project approval for Quartet, an updated odor study had not been completed. A project condition of approval for Quartet was included that the City complete the study to determine if residential uses were appropriate in the MU-NR designated area. In May 2021, Public Works presented to the Council the results of the study, and determined that residential would be appropriate on part of the MU-NR designation. This Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment (see Exhibit "A") reflects the results of the Odor Study and is consistent with the discussions Brighton has had with Public Works and Community Development Departments. More specifically, we support the modification to Medium Density Residential to the north and Civic/ Industrial to the south adjacent to the WRRF. This amendment creates an appropriate buffer for the City's WRRF and future residential. We recognize the City's effort to complete the Odor Study and update the Comprehensive Plan Map to reflect the results. Again, we offer our support and request the City's approval of this amendment. Sincerely, Brighton Development, Inc. Jonathan D. Wardle President BRIGHTON—Creating GREAT Places—2929 W.
